Allegheny Chapter #37 Regular Meeting – Election of
Officers
December 6, 2009
BRIDGEVILLE FIRE HALL –Easy Access from I-79 onto Route 19
370 Commercial St.; Bridgeville, PA 15017
(Directions below.)
Tidbits
Somehow when we meet
at the Sheraton in Cranberry everything falls into place. It's so cozy and we
were able to run a typical meeting like clockwork. Many thanks to Mark Baker who
filled in as speaker with a slide show featuring Orrery.
Several issues were
mentioned during the business meeting which were newsworthy. The National has
proposed to offer reduced price insurance policies and blanket incorporation to
its' chapters. These measures address some of our long term concerns. Also, seek
out our chapter website which was launched by our new executive committee
member Jeff Campbell. Down the line it may be the way we send all our
newsletters.
When is the last time
you were down south? Well, put your traveling clothes on because we'll be
meeting south of Pittsburgh for our next meeting. On December 6th we will meet
at the brand new Bridgeville Fire Hall in their Chartiers Room. The new location
will spawn a change in our agenda which will exclude the meal. If you
want to eat afterward there are several nearby restaurants including
Tambellini's and Eat n' Park. Sorry, no coupons.
After this meeting
there won't be another meeting until April 4, 2010. No site has been chosen yet
so if you'd like to feature your region of the compass please speak up.
Elections will be held at this meeting. Please remember to pay your $10 dues,
which are being requested now for January 2010 thru December 2010.

ABOUT OUR NEW MEETING LOCATION AND AGENDA
Dear Members,
Tom, our
President, is trying a new meeting agenda. No meal and everyone leaving by Noon
and that includes the Chapter Meeting and the Program completed by
Noon. This location is new and is much less expensive for the Chapter and for
us as members. (i.e. No cost for lunch to you. We will brew our own coffee and
avoid almost $75.00 per meeting in Coffee costs and $100 in Room costs. We
actually have an opportunity to break even in our costs.)
YOUR SUPPORT IS NEEDED
To support this move, as is
stated on the Uncle Sam Posters - “WE NEED YOU.” Here are some suggestions to
help us all:
