WELCOME
If you are interested in British clocks, watches and/or their makers you have something in common with our chapter members. We are an International Special Interest chapter. We hold three meetings a year, the first at the Florida Mid-Winter Regional, the second at the Southern Ohio Regional and the third during the NAWCC National Convention. It is our practice to have at least one in depth presentation on some aspect of British horology at each meeting.
Since 1998, Chapter 159 has sponsored four European tours. During those tours, participants are able to examine horological items and collections that are open to the public and others that are difficult to arrange or not open for public viewing. Availability for the 2012 Italy tour (September 21 to October 5) is filling up quickly. We are extremely lucky to have Philip Priestly leading the tour which has a wonderful balance of fun, education and sightseeing. Contact Jim Nichols at jmn427@aol.com for details.
Our illustrated, multi-page newsletter is published three times yearly, in March, June and November. It not only keeps our members up to date on what is happening in the chapter but contains technical and non-technical articles on British timekeeping subjects. A wonderful archive of British Horology Times is published on this website.
