  • November 27, 2015 Since its discovery by Marie Curie in 1896, radium has been treated to a host of uses, most of which would be considered dangerous by today’s standards. It was touted as a miracle cure-all, used as a supposed treatment for every ailment ranging from stomach problems to cancer. It’s most famous use was as luminous paint on watch and clock dials and hands.
